I found this nice shot of a Flowrider stand-up barrel in Durban S. Africa. I called Mavericks Sports in Sunriver and they think they will be open by "the end of August" with an INDOOR Flowrider wave available at a 'per hour session cost' of around $25? They said they would be open to the public for some time, but might at some point only offer the flowrider to club members.
I'll tell you right now, the guy in this barrel must have some scars to show, since the one in Hawaii (below) was not near as hollow, and still managed to kick my ass...

Eric, the Intrepid Nutria Hunter
Here's my brother-in-law, Eric, hunting down a Nutria while we were at a Grad Party in Portland, along the Willamette River.
This is actually deep water, covered in Primordial Soup, which Eric found to be "not too cold", and "only a little slimy" after he fell in, shortly after the picture above was shot...
Here's the Nutria, which made it away unscathed....

Deschutes River Climbing Session
Tuesday night climbing was a gas last night! We changed up the venue to one of Seth's favorite spots along the river in Bend, and did some bouldering and top roping of some of the easier problems along this stretch of river - too fun!
