Here's the colonel, settting up...for a great pow slash..... Snow conditions were pretty stable, but the colonel did manage to set a little slide off on his big drop.....

A very rewarding trip, especially since it was yet another bluebird day that POWDR / Mt. Bachelor couldn't get the summit open for the fresh goods.

It's also nice to stay out till the sun drops....

Meanwhile, back in Central Oregon....

Jackson Hole Rocks!

G money worked the deal, and we are IN at the West Bank compound in Wilson, steps away from Teton Pass, Jackson Hole, and the "endless" backcountry opportunities in Jackson. In fact, Endless, or Mile long couloir might be on the list for tomorrow. Today, we hit the nearly foot of fresh from yesterday's storm on the Crags, and Casper bowl. Here's a shot from the "Chevy Snow photo" website from yesterday at Jackson Hole:

Pilot Butte is (almost) IN with good snow in the forecast!

Hey - Here's a head's up to the local Bend crew to get on up to Pilot Butte for some rare turns in town. Here's my recon mission this afternoon. Pretty "low tide", but filling up fast with the new snow this afternoon! Go get some!

Big Pow finally comes to Bachelor - then rain :(

I'm sure glad I got my days of riding in while the mtn offered up some pow. Word is that it's now RAINING up there. Meahwhile, we headed down to the sunny So. Cal beach, where it's NOT raining, and almost 70 degrees. Here's some shots from the good days last week, and some of the early cone from October.

First Tracks on the Cone Today - Where the Bloody Hell were You?

Check out my first day on 6" of early season snow, on top of a 2" frozen slushee base. Conditions were NOT bad, considering it's the first real snow for Mt. Bachelor this season. As I rode down from the cone to my car, I noticed that the Pine Marten Lift was being loaded with chairs - I'm sure that must mean that all of that new money from our season passes will convince them to open early..............NOT Youtube "Where the Bloody Hell Are You"
